WHAT IS PLAY THERAPY?

Play Therapy is a mode of therapy that helps children and young people to:

  • explore their feelings
  • to express themselves
  • to make sense of their life experiences.

 WHY USE PLAY THERAPY?

Play Therapy is an effective intervention for children and young people affected by a variety of issues including loss (through bereavement, family breakdown or separation from culture of origin), physical, sexual or emotional abuse, neglect, trauma, being fostered or adopted, changes within the family, illness or disability, emotional or behavioural challenges.
