I am passionate about supporting children and young people's emotional wellbeing and providing appropriate therapeutic support for each and every child/ young person and family I work with.
I’ve been a Play Therapist since gaining a Masters in Play Therapy from University of York in 2004. Prior to this, I worked as a class teacher within a special school for 8 years.
All children and young people should have access to appropriate therapeutic support that suits their needs. With over 25 years' professional experience of working with neurodivergent children and young people, I have extensive experience of developing my practice, striving to offer a truly inclusive and welcoming service.
I greatly value working closely with parents/carers and other professionals involved in the child or young person's life. Strong relationships, good communication and working together with these other adults can enhance the effectiveness of Play Therapy resulting in a better outcome for the child or young person.
I love to getting to know children and young people and their families and learning about their strengths and loves as well as the challenges that have brought them to seek support.
